Workshop
The Carabosse workshop is in the old dairy in the village of St- Christophe sur Roc in the department of Deux Sèvres, in France. Here our ideas, questions and projects take shape.
Our spectacles talk of the individual in his humanity and ask questions about his relationship to his environment (social, political, natural), in which he has to live, hope and re-act.
Here in the Old Dairy, everything is thought-out, forged and made :
Writing for public spaces in multiple ways, working (or playing) as closely as possible to the inhabitants and spectators, twisting flames like metal, making sculpted metal flourish, making water play with fire, “making stones speak”, shaking up normal ways of seeing things.
Apart from residencies in places where we make things, and from creating in situ, whether in France or abroad, here is where we test our dialogues between fire and other elements, between wax and sculptures, painting and projected images, raw sounds and altered ones. This is to create a hybrid language which knows no boundaries (or borders).
This is where shows are born, tours are devised, fire pots are made and sculptures are forged.
Here we load trucks and containers, we share our experiences on the way home, we share a daily routine to welcome tomorrow.
